The first FIFA World Cup quarter-finals match takes place on July 04, 2014. The winners of the first and second match of the 'Round of 16' will compete against each other starting at 13:00 (local time in Brazil) to enter the semi-finals.

The match takes place at Maracana Stadium. The Estádio do Maracanã, officially Estádio Jornalista Mário Filho, is an open-air stadium in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. It was opened in 1950 to host the FIFA World Cup, in which Brazil were beaten 2-1 by Uruguay in the deciding game. The stadium currently seats 78,838 spectators, making it the largest stadium in Brazil and in South America.
